Our Story

coffee beans

We’ve bean around since 1965, when Grandpa Mak started trading and supplying traditional coffee to local coffee shops. In 2018, The Maks' Coffee was born as a spin-off from the original brand with a fresh, new concept to produce specialty coffee the sustainable way. Now 4th-generation owner, Chris, takes the brand to new grounds as a specialty coffee supplier in Singapore, using innovative techniques to create the everyday coffee experience that aims to leave a minimal environmental footprint.

Our latest creation also includes our newly curated Home & Lifestyle Collection, which aims to introduce the art of conscious and sustainable living. Explore Collection here.

SUSTAINABILITY

The Maks’ Coffee works directly with micro-lot coffee farmers to source for premium Arabica coffee beans. Each coffee cherry is carefully hand picked to ensure the best quality. Our partner farms also incorporate biodiversity and a green systems to reuse discarded coffee pulps as fertilisers in order to reduce wastes in their farms. As we strive to produce coffee sustainably, it is also important to us that our coffee farmers receive a fair price for their produce in order to sustain their way of living.

Every season, from farm to cup, our team of dedicated roasters and coffee artisans bring fresh flavours and aroma to excite our coffee subscribers. Subscribe now to learn more.

GIVING BACK

Giving back to the community is a core part of The Maks' Coffee. Ever since we started our journey in 2018, we have dedicated the month of November to help raise funds for Mingte Elementary School, an orphanage and school located in Northern Thailand - one of the regions we source our coffee beans from. For every item purchased in the month of November, S$1 has been donated to their Education Fund to help support underprivileged children to further their education. We are proud to be part of this initiative and continue to do our part in giving back to the community.
